May 07, 2008  I've just finished the big "accounting + audit" job that stuck with me for the past two months.  Before I could really concentrate and "participate" again in the works of my own web site, someone buzzed me awhile ago that I will have a chance to join a listing project shortly, possibly to be in-charge in some areas.  Oh!  I haven't done this for more than 10 years!

Seiko HK has revised its watch prices and I have done the same on some of the models I can source here.  You can see that hot Japan models like SBDA001, SBDA003, SCVS001, SCVS003, SCVS013 and SCVS015 in my web site have all of their list prices been revised.  However, I think they are still very competitive even they are being compared with the prices at their original country of production, and the goods from this web site come with international warranty paper.

Just because of the possible busy assignment, I can only revise part of price of Seiko watches showing here.  The prices of models with blackened first column are not updated and please do not order until the black colour turns to normal.

Feb 20, 2008  Prices of Sandoz watches here are revised.  Retailers has adjusted in average HKD100 to HKD125 upward before Chinese New year (for no stone models) and I treat you guys nicely : Only USD2.00 in the same direction not until now.  As for the tight supply of ETA movements from Switzerland, stock levels of Sandoz are still fluctuating up-and-down from time to time and there is no sign of becoming stable in the near future.

On the other hand, a good news to you : After being more than 2 months out-of-stock, a spy ( ; - D) reported to me that SKX781K / Orange Monster from authorized wholesaler of Hong Kong will arrive early next week.

June 25, 2007  Seiko Spirit is here.  Check out my Seiko page.  I was living with two SCVS001 and two SCVS003 for over 2 weeks.  From the appearance, they are more than 80% the same as that of the SBGR001 and SBGR023.  After testing them with only one position (crown up) during this period, I discovered this watch (or movement) runs steadily everyday.  Not being at chronometer level as some people claimed.  Just better than you can foresee of a Japan made product at this price range.

To me, undoubtedly, this is part of the Chinese Cultural Revolution happening in 2007, and will be going onwards.  The main difference is, this time, international authorities join in the party to assist adding charcoals on the fire destroying our tradition and our culture.

I dare to say this is a new (rising) tide of Cultural Revolution as it is existing now in our living era and as for its destroying nature just like the previous one.

I dare also to say it is only a part of revolution of this kind as there are a lot of 'projects' acting on us.  Killing Cantonese language is another example:

    Hong Kong people traditionally speaks one Canton (Guangdong province) dialect, I name it Cantonese.  This dialect is the 'mother language' of the people at Guangzhou city, many regions of Guangdong, and part of the Guangxi province.

    My observation is : Nowadays, many local residents of Guangzhou city can't speak Cantonese correctly, not because of they are from outer provinces, and not because of the influx of outer provinces  people who do not speak Cantonese, but for the education they have received, and the environment surrounding them, which are provided by the Central Government.

    Cantonese language reserves great part of Chinese historical literature, Mandarin does not!  As most part of China were once ruled by outer tribes in old days, dialects/languages (may be the blood inside also) of the people there were influenced deeply so that you can see why sounds of Mandarin can be romanized perfectly and European language speakers can speak good Mandarin.

    If you study Chinese literature, you could know it is not right to read old poems in Mandarin; it would be totally funny, unacceptable, or even a torture to listen one in this way (Please don't try!).  On the contrary, Cantonese language, is now being treated as a dialect, at the same time being murdered slowly and officially, can read a masterpiece as a masterpiece.

Furthermore, another farce that I can see daily there is the introduction of passive voice in Chinese language.  Basically, and traditionally, we do not use passive voice but we can present ideas that way.  That's no problem.  However, media today would like to add a word 'gei' (pronounced in Mandarin) to make things sound passive.  'Gei' has one meaning of 'Give' that make the verb REALLY 'do something' on the object of a sentence.  In future, Chinese Language might be Germanized (No offence!) one day to speak things in cases!!!

Apr 19, 2007  ALERT!  SEIKO HK announced its watch prices will up from 6-7% to about 13% for mechanical, and 3-4% for quartz watches on 1st of May, 2007.  But for certain unspoken reasons (e.g. Week Japan Yen?), Japan-made models like SBDA001, SBDA003 have shown no sign of price revision up to this moment.

For those 6R15 lovers, stock supply of Spirits models (with warranty paper !) is still not steady for local market here.  Further news about this product line will be pressed soon.

Owing to strong market growth in China, many European brands are in short-supplied here (stocks are shipping there); prices of some of those brands are now not very nice and range of products offering here is now very narrow.

Oct 16, 2006  Stolen Watch News : An ALBA AL4015X1 (RED secs hand) was stolen on Oct 09, 2006, that's last Monday.  It was happened at around Flushing, New York.  Its serial number is 610045 and it has a distinctive characteristic of missing a red "E" at the word "DIVER'S" therefore it spells "DIVER'S" instead.  Call a police when you see one and please do not mix up with another brand PULSAR.

July 17, 2006  Mudman news : As you all know, new Mudman models have been distributing worldwide.  You guys can have it without a paper and at a nicer price now.  The stuffs you can get from me are exactly the same as that of from authorized wholesaler : Original paper box, paper tag, instruction manual, and the watch.  At the moment, I have grabbed three pieces for each of the G-9000-1VDR and the G-9000-3VDR, but none of the G-9000-8VDR.  After finishing these stocks, I can't source anymore (no-paper ones) until mid of August.

May 15, 2006  SEIKO HK will adjust their prices on mechanical watches (not the quartz ones) on 1st of June.  As long as my suppliers are having the stock I inquire, the price will not be changed until June 01, 06.  In case they do not have it on hand now but can re-stock within, let's say, 2 days, new price 'may be' in force immediately as some of them will have to settle their bills with the authorized wholesaler on or after the Judgment Day .  So, please ask for quote and availability of this kind of watch before sending me funds.

May 10, 2006  This two ALBA are now available again : AL4001X1 and Manta Ray AL4005X1 (New pics are coming).  I am not sure how long they will still be supplied by Seiko HK.  May be they are serious this time as there are three more diver models are marketed here.  Prices of the above two models are in fact TBA.

Some time later, AL4013X1, AL4015X1 and AL4017X1 will also be available here.

No news may be good news!  There is no sign of any annual increment for the Japan watches so far.  Something came late may shock us badly : SBBN011 has landed finally but local authorized wholesaler and retailers are both overly aggressive on its pricing.  According to my observation, this model can't contribute too much revenue to my vendors, and of course NIL to me.

The arrival (or not?) of 6Rxx models is also another BIG question mark to me.  As time goes by, there is now no people dare to say they will be marketed here, more and more shops begin to import them from Japan directly though.  Prices are not nice also.  I don't recommend!

G-SHOCK news : Navy & Khaki GULFMAN DW-9700NK-2 is available again so as the DW-5600FS-8JF (with paper one).  Don't miss out.

One minor correction : Casio RFT-100-1VDF is still available.  The supply is becoming more stable.

From now on, a bad news for G lovers / collectors : Staffs of my Gs' supplier told me that Wademan models DW-9800-1BVT, DW-9800J-1A, and Frogman's GW-200BC-1JF (the Black Helios) are all sold out.  This news is not kidding for today as I saw them to check with their warehouse seriously on Mar 31, 2006 and I grabbed the last DW-9800J-1A with paper.

Nevertheless, I don't think I was lucky.  I will observe the situation continuously for one month.  After that, I would have sufficient confidence to declare these three models are really discontinued and no longer available in HK.

Mar 27, 2006  All the people around told me it is a limited edition; I'm afraid they meant the quantity of supply is highly limited.  I know little about it but the real stuff is just like Breitling Navitimer World.  This Citizen beauty is Eco-Drive empowered BJ7010-16F (Pics are here!  But SOLD!).  The price is USD215.00 + shipping.

I'm afraid Hong Kong has been allotted with less than 50pcs of it.  In addition, reddish-brown toned BJ7010-24W is also available at the same price.  Similar extent of scarcity.

Mar 08, 2006  Happy International Women's Day!    Ladies, it's your day.  Let's buy the Blue or the Black dial Enicar Ocean Pearl Quartz Chronograph Diver to your man / men to celebrate!   It's a chrono watch that still have WR500m professional diving capacity.  You know what I mean?!

By the way, the supplies of them at this initial stage are not very stable.  Please allow 2 to 3 days (may or may not be longer) for the wholesaler to deliver the stocks of them to me for shipping out.

Moreover, don't forget the auto black dial model.

Finally, all Seiko Black, White and Orange Knights are available again with original Seiko box and international warranty paper.  The Orange Knight is the one with stainless steel bracelet, not the common rubber strap SKXA51K.  I have one piece of this model only!

Feb 20, 2006  ZUT!  Recently, I discussed closely with all of my suppliers for all the brands I am selling here and no one was awared of the likelihood that nightmare is about to turn into reality.  Today, I went to get my super-urgent order (Every time I was urgent for this watch) of ENICAR Ocean Pearl (New pics are READY) that the wholesaler sent to my supplier also an annual increment notice : I read, and have discovered the effective date was on Feb 17, 2006.  How come?!

I know this week a big Japan watch company has a series of BIG meetings at Thailand (Why Thailand?).  My experience was : This company would have "good manner" of price adjustments after meetings at F.E. Asia by giving one month notice in advance for their annual prices rises, either quartz or mechanical watches first, then the other follows shortly.

Feb 09, 2006  Don't throw me bad eggs and tomatoes : The new Seiko models arrived have none of a "6R" auto as expected!  I saw them today and gave no reaction to my supplier.  May be the atmosphere was terrible, the shop owner has offered me great discounts to make me smile again!

Forgot to mentioned, the two new models I met today were Seiko Premier Kinetic Perpetual Calendar, SNP001P1 and SNP003P1.  The real things look much much muu....ch better than they are in digital images.  Just my $0.02, you guys may treat them as Credor in case you are looking for your first perpetual calendar watch, and you are the type of person of a bit artistic + elegant appearance loving.

I did my own research today and have the following findings of mine : Their RRP are £450.00 at the U.K. or 699,00£á in Germany.  Internet prices are about £354.99 - £379.95.  An auction recently ended at 396,00£á after 23 Gebote for a white dial SNP001P1.

Since I have been granted with very cool discount for them, I would like to share with you the benefit for the very first few pieces of them at a rather super nice price : USD399.00 + shipping chg, no additional discount for everyone.  TIA for understanding.

(First 1/2)  I inquired one Seiko model from the coolest supplier of mine these two days and he seemed can't help.  He does not carry the stock but has helped me to ask a sales staff at Seiko HK to search it.........

(Second 1/2) The sales told they are extremely busy (@L@ !!!) because they are rushing to prepare the distribution and marketing of the new Seiko models!  My supplier has invited me to his shop to take a look this week .......... Anyhow, the most important thing is the second part of "Kung Hei Fat Choi", that is "Lai-See Dau Loi"!  "Lai-See" is the "Red Pocket(s)".  "Dau Loi" is "Giving Me".  Thus, the complete meaning is "Giving Me $$$Red Pocket(s)$$$".  In case you want a good watch, you may say "SEIKO Dau Loi", or more specifically "Marine Master Dau Loi".

Please be reminded to put up both hands to the one you are requesting Lai-See or Seiko from; it is a good manner to receive a gift!

Jan 26, 2006  There are toooo much things I don't understand at all.  Anyhow, my Enicar Ocean Pearl Professtional Diver will only be available shortly after the coming Chinese New Year holidays, not on yesterday, also not on today, nor on tomorrow.  I am terribly sorry to tell I simply can't ship it out before the holidays.

On the other hand, I have something you guys may be interested.  Citizen AT0121-26A, AT0121-18E, AG8230-13A and AG8230-05E will have their web pages very soon here.  They are readily available, no fake!  In addition, when I was back from China, I visited one supplier before going home.  I've brought home one Seiko SHC059P1 (paper open-dated) orange dial air diver.  I should have bought also the Carbon Fibre Dial SHC061P1 but my cash level was rather low after my one day visit to the P.R.C. : - P

Jan 14, 2006  Sorry for the hidden prices of both Seiko SKZ215K and SKZ217K.  Pics of SKZ215K1 are scheduled to be uploaded tomorrow morning (Hong Kong time).  There is no urgent plan for me to sell these two watches as for the experience gained from "The Fat Chicken has run away!" last time.  I do not intend to speculate but it is really painful that every time people come to me to ask for a limited edition watch that I made almost no money (No Kidding!) but my suppliers.

FYI : The prices of them will not be stable as long as they are available because the cheapest sources may not be able to supply to me all the time.  Thank you in advance for understanding.

Dec 26, 2005  In the morning (HK's time), I found one SKZ205 in Japan's Yahoo! Auction costed JPY70,000+ and my very own opinion was : 'CRAZY!".  Even the banks opened today, I won't send money to my new partner to bid it from there.  At night, I've known that I was wrong (very wrong indeed); I've found another one with just less than One K USD price tag + $19.90 UPS/Fedex if you are in California, USA.  Too late not to bid the watch, too regretful not to buy all stocks of this model in HK early this year especially the "888/2005", too.........!

The very first news : EMS postage costs amended upwards as follows:  Parcel to the US including Hawaii, Japan, or to Australia under 0.5Kg : USD15.00.  BTW, any deal quoted but not yet paid would not be affected by this changes.

Mar 20, 2005 : .........sorry for too busy/late to report on the "Fake Eggs" issue again.  The average cost per each fake egg is about RMB0.05 to RMB0.1 (USD1~RMB8.3) only, which is RMB0.2 cheaper than the real one.  That's the rationale!

The outer shell of fake eggs is mainly composed of Calcium Carbonate.  The egg white and egg yoke are made up of Sodium Alginate (C6H7O6Na)n, Alunite (KAl3(OH)6(SO4)2) , Gelatin, Calcium Chloride (Not sure if it is edible or for industrial uses), water, dyes (?!)......... what do you guys think of eating all those chemicals into your/your children's body?

Mar 07, 2005 : Ok.  It's a long time since last few words here.  I'm darn busy in day time job but still want to say something OT here.......!

Last week, I read a local newspaper article that reported a strange news (at least to me).  The short news said there are "Fake Eggs" selling in food markets of Guang Zhou, one of the richest cities in Mainland China, the capital city of Guang Dong Province.  BTW, the most shocking point was : "Fake Eggs" were in fact being found 10 years before (Did I forget?)!

There exist "their" production bases in northern China, and the products would then pass through a long path from the north, to the southern China (you all know P.R.C. is the 3rd largest country in the world).  Up to here, you may now scratch your head as me when I first saw the passage:  Is it justify to make fake eggs and to deliver them from N to S of a real big country?  Stay tuned!

Aug 01, 2004 :  There are some adjustments in price offering in this web site.  Seiko 5 Superior SNZ443K (Black) is reduced to USD155.00 while others : SNZ433K, SNZ435K, SNZ437K and SNZ441K are all USD130.00.  They have all with original box, instruction manual and warranty paper.

For the Citizen, I found BL1164-55E/ PMT56-2731 has disappeared for two weeks.  I'm afraid.....!  BL5194-   /PMV56- series is reduced again (deflation?).

Let's talk about ETA.  Did the so-called "price increases" affect your life?  I don't think so!  But if you don't read my article on April 22 (may be too late it came), and rushed to buy a Sandoz (why not other European watches?), I'm sure you are quite annoying at that moment for listening wrongful/misleading "information"/"news" and made the purchase decision.

It is strange this month's business.  I've sourced three Titoni watches since Jul 1.  In Seiko side, Black Monster leads Orange Monster 1 unit; it is strange too!  OM has still 12 days to beat BM which is a matter of unknown.

More than ONE people asked I stopped telling jokes since May 30 and others reminded me in this period "....you have days not updating your web site!" :-(  Well, what can I say?  Some jokes became bitter reality that we should accept was no long fun to tell.  Especially about the issues involving bureaucrat, personal perception on self respect and lives.  If the timing is not good (passed too long), I prefer not to mention.

Business can drive people to crazy, I think.  Even the business involves very small amount of money (e.g. profit element of one watch), people would try all means to get the maximum return in one transaction at the expense of long term relationship.  Being in this business for months I can locate several bad suppliers in HK who reveal their "real characters" in two to three deals, from nice to bad, from friendly to greedily.  Just unthinkably marvelous, WooooW :-o  !

Or some of you may say "Don't be silly!  This place is a battlefield, not a playground.", "C'est la vie!",......  Ummm..... I am not silly indeed but do not expect the bad sides of humanity came so straight, direct, naked and with no reservation;  is this called "Bloody" :-)  ?  May be I have my home mortgage fully repaid already, no child to feed and....... so that I am under lesser pressure to ask for aggressive prices.

Business is one thing.  Personality is another.

Recently, I found that people from ONE country are terribly insincere and somewhat "Fxxxxxx" (too rude to write in full).  They always pretend to have large amount to spend and ask many B.S. questions.  One of them is a watch/watch accessories reseller in the internet.  This guy(?) came to me at the very beginning of this web site, placed large order (talk-only one) and requested large amount of useless information.  I discovered we are in the same field later.

The other one of these scumxxxs from this country did similar things but this time not a reseller.  I say that because I have some idea who he is (If I am right, he has also many non-pay winning bids records on eBay).  Nevertheless, they are the same type.  I found some eBay sellers posting a No-shipment / Do-Not-Bid list of countries that include this country I am talking about.

May be I know the main reason why the WEST (U.S. and mid to west Europe) has superiority in many parameters in general comparing with the EAST nowadays eventually.  From my own experience, westerners are more straight-forward in getting a thing done (as they really want to) and are more willing to take risk; right attitude in business / eWorld.  Luckily, I met an easygoing good guy from Indonesia this month and learned a new way to do business with this place also.  Thanks Richard!

Jun 20, 2004 : This little web site is undergoing a small "major" reconstruction it has never had so far.  May be it has to be done two months before as so many people complained about the untidiness ;-(

There are in fact two new Citizen models that I can give a quotation (see P-List).  One is the WR 300M Eco Drive model (USD380.00 only !).  The other is also a BIG watch, the 47mm Eco Drive Dual Time Promaster.  It has the capability of WR 200M.  The reason of NOT inputting it into the price list is simple : I don't know its model number and do not want to make long description to describe it WRONGLY!

Jun 10, 2004 : I decided not to list the Icy Casio G-5600K as a saleable item as I found difficulties in sourcing one more perfect condition Dolphin & Whale 5600 right now in HK.  Last week, I went through several shops in Hong Kong to find one for a client but the quality of stocks left today is unacceptable for me.

One of them has paint spots left over the case and strap.  Another one I thought which is well below standard for purchase is full-of-scratches case back G-5600K from a big shop!  The final failed one is a burned-to-a-bit-brown G-5600K showing in a display window under direct sub-tropical sun light everyday.....

I will re-list the price again if I found one with a "Distinction" grade in quality!

For the past few years they pinpointed unfairness and nonsense, "barked" and "bite" uncountable should-be-responsible people of all classes in HK.  As a result, they became the most notorious talk show hosts among those sucked officials and these suckers never appear in their shows.  Mad Dog and Tai Pan never give up shouting all days even being assaulted seriously by someone never found (In Tai Pan's case, the unseen party ONLY aimed at making his arms & legs USELESS, not killing him, so kind they are!).  However, they stopped unexpectedly and said nothing about it this time and jokes coming.....

No.1  Leftists in HK commented the leaves of "Famous Mouths" in 100% peaceful, calm and synchronous way.  They said it is famous mouths' own decision.  They are not forced to do so.  There is NO red light on freedom of speech in HK at all.  There is NO political issue involved.  Political matters affect NOTHING on HK's economic growth.  HK people should work hard to ignore politics.  Nothing special happened.  Everything is OK!

2004/04/22 : One watch forumer told me yesterday that ETA movements may have their prices risen very soon and so......!

In fact, this is not news.  SWATCH (ETA's controlling co.) announced a years ago it's monopolistic business strategy and majority of Swiss watch co. (SWC) shocked.  There are at least TWO major price rises for 2003 on ETA movement and SWATCH stated ETA movements will continuously be supplied to its Swiss clients/counterparts even if there is any litigation on it's group's monopolistic decision.  ROLEX reacts actively to develop in-house movement(s) for Tudor lines of products, and I think all parties (especially SWCs) affected has made/ is under great pressure to make alternations on their products to put the effect to minimal.

SANDOZ is seemed as one of the watch co. affected.  But whether anyone knows it's relationship with ETA?  I think it is NOT BAD at least because SANDOZ must make bulk purchase on ETA in order to drive it's watch prices low and it is an OLD customer of ETA indeed.  In addition, SANDOZ models are not the type that can compete with SWATCH's brands goods.  The supply of mechanical movements to SANDOZ may not be affected seriously.  I really think so because there is NO noticeable price rise during 2003 on SANDOZ watches in HK but ETA turned it's movements price upwards TWICE when selling to SWCs.

According to my nearly 20 years of investing experience.  OLDS that blows again and again (and again also ) to become NEWS must has it's REAL MOTIVE hidden.  The most unexpected is people really feeling unrest on SWATCH's decision and jump into the market to source SANDOZ watches for themselves like Stocks/Bullion/Bonds/Commodities/Blah/Blah/Blah/...!

Well, buyers buy something and sellers sell something that constitutes TRADING.  If you can buy in, there must someone sells; trading again.  HK has millions of tons () of SANDOZ stocks awaiting somebody to take them home.  It has so many competing products at the same time.  If it has it's price risen, while it's demand is ELASTIC,  wise economic people will surely go for other better value products like SEIKO and CITIZEN.

Why bother a lot?  Make good decision and .

2004/04/11 : The situations of Hong Kong nowadays make me feeling sick.  I think it is time to do something by somebody other than "Let it be!" or praying for a better future.

More and more wrongful things are happening and talks are talking since July 1st 1997 of HK.  May the economic down-turned and people are going lost focus.  I may not object people to say something-no-point (or rubbish!) for shoe-polishing purpose, i.e.  prosperity of his/her career.  But I cannot and will not accept somebody does this thing that turn out affects the values of the others (especially the youth) in extremely ADVERSE manner!

Being important figure of education, one should perform and speak carefully in order to comply with own position .  It is annoying and inappropriate to make lots of TV announcements to "teach" the youngsters "Learning : It's more than scoring", but cannot foresee the ordinary response from children when their parent asked them to review their school works.  Parents start complaining their sons and daughters "teach" them back "Learning : It's more than scoring" when they are told to make revision on what they learnt, and refuse to do so.  The most unforgivable thing is : the ONE that responsible for the fault, listens no voice of objection and tell people to follow the idiot-liked slogan as there is no problem happened.

The shameless motive of making so many goddamned slogans of the responsible person also pollute HK badly; this ONE has long history of supporting and assisting desperately anything advocated by the "Old Man Tung".  The ONE is a truly BAD example to tell HK people "the way to succeed is to do things that harm and unmoral".

2004/04/08 : Good News for SEIKO 5 and SEIKO Divers Lovers!  Owing to changing business strategies of "Seiko5ers.com", selling prices of abovementioned models are greatly reduced (Max 13.3333%).  But for that of SNA225 is keeping constant at USD160.00 because of the very thin margin ;-) and I think this price is competitive enough to have steady sales volume by its own.

2004/03/15 : Believe it or not! (Number One) -  I found one more SNZ443K in Hong Kong and shipped it just before Post Office close today.  One of my suppliers told me the quota of this black 5 Superior for Hong Kong is only 40!  And I was lucky to meet and sell 2 of them, i.e. 5%.

Believe it or not! (Number Two) - I sourced a BJ8010-53E for a very nice American gentleman.  The transaction ran smooth and I learnt a lot from this guy.

2004/03/11 : Just want to say sorry for not updating my web site frequently.  I was reminded by a requisition for a Seiko SNZ443K as I stated at 2004/03/06 news.  My supplier sold it very soon and reserve nothing for me!  This made two customers disappointed and I still left the message unchanged.

Yesterday the third customer came and requested the same.  I was awaked but this time this customer got what he wants; I found another SNZ443K (SURPRISE!) the day before yesterday when I was sourcing a Black Monster around HK.  This very COOL (I really want one for myself!) Superior will fly away from Asia and start it's new live in America (God Bless You, Baby).
